About the role
Railway Telecom Installer - Glasgow - Long Term Contract
We are currently seeking an experienced Railway Telecom Installer to support testing and installation activities on railway infrastructure projects across Glasgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled telecoms professional with rail experience to join a busy project team on a long-term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and testing of railway telecoms assets and associated equipment.
- Supporting commissioning and testing activities across live rail projects.
- Ensuring all works are carried out safely and in accordance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Working collaboratively with site teams to deliver works to programme.
Essential Requirements
- Valid PTS certification.
- Telecoms and/or electrical qualifications.
- Proven experience installing and testing telecoms equipment.
- Strong understanding of telecoms infrastructure and testing procedures.
- Ability to work safely in a rail environment.
Desirable
- Previous experience working on railway telecoms projects.
- Experience with railway communications systems, fibre, copper and associated telecom assets.
Contract Details
- Location: Glasgow
- Duration: 6-12 months
- Shifts: 6 shifts per week
- Pattern: Predominantly nights with some day shifts required
- Rate: £200 per shift
