About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Bar & Restaurant Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of a busy food and beverage venue. The venue also has 10 rooms. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing a high-performing team, driving sales, and ensuring the smooth and profitable running of the business.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Manage the daily operation of the bar and restaurant, ensuring excellent service standards at all times.
- Oversee opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate ordering of food, beverages, and supplies.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the venue.
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, develop, and motivate front-of-house staff.
- Create staff rotas to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching where required.
- Foster a positive team culture and lead by example.
Customer Service
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience and resolve customer concerns professionally.
- Build strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Ensure service standards consistently meet or exceed expectations.
Financial Management
- Manage budgets, control costs, and maximise profitability.
- Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Oversee cash handling procedures and end-of-day reconciliations.
- Analyse business performance and prepare management reports.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to food safety, health and safety, and licensing requirements.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure all team members are trained in relevant compliance procedures.
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Previous experience in a Bar Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or similar hospitality management role.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Experience managing budgets, stock control, and labour costs.
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.
- Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Desirable
- Food Safety Certificate.
- First Aid qualification.
- Experience using hospitality EPOS and booking systems.
