Senior Highway Engineer

Our client is currently seeking a Senior Highways Engineer for a 6-month contract at their Manchester office. This role is ideal for a highly skilled professional looking to further their career in the highways discipline while contributing to significant Local Authority and National Highways schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading the design and implementation of highway engineering projects
• Managing and mentoring junior engineers
• Conducting detailed technical reviews using Civil 3D software
• Ensuring compliance with relevant highway design standards and regulations
• Coordinating with various stakeholders, including Local Authorities and National Highways
• Delivering projects within specified timeframes and budget constraints
• Preparing technical reports and documentation
• Providing expert advice and risk assessments on highway engineering matters

Job Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer status is essential
• Significant experience in highway engineering
• Proficient in the use of Civil 3D for highway design
• Strong project management capabilities
• Excellent leadership and team management skills
• Understanding of Local Authority and National Highways project requirements
• Ability to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Availability to start as soon as possible
