About the role
A caring primary school in Rugby seeks a committed Teaching Assistant for a full‑time September start. You provide calm, structured classroom support for a vulnerable class that benefits from stability and clear routines. Moreover, you help pupils feel safe, understood and ready to learn. In addition, you follow guidance from the class teacher to deliver consistent support throughout the day and promote steady progress.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support that strengthens daily learning
- Use clear routines to create stability and reduce anxiety
- Support vulnerable learners with patience and calm communication
- Deliver small‑group activities that reinforce key skills
- Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra help
- Promote positive behaviour approaches throughout the day
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain consistent provision
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant
- SEND experience preferred, especially supporting vulnerable pupils
- Clear communication and a patient, nurturing approach
- Ability to maintain consistency and follow structured routines
- Full‑time Monday to Friday availability from September
- Interest in Rugby‑based roles
