About the role
A supportive primary school in Coventry seeks a confident Behaviour Mentor for a full‑time September start. You provide calm, structured guidance for pupils who need consistent behaviour support and clear routines. Additionally, you help children feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. In addition, you work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver targeted strategies that promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver behaviour support for pupils needing consistent guidance
- Use clear routines to reduce anxiety and promote stability
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group interventions that build confidence and self‑regulation
- Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
- Prepare adapted tasks for pupils needing extra help
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision
- Build strong relationships with pupils, families and staff
What We’re Looking For
- A qualified or experienced Behaviour Mentor
- Relevant behaviour or pastoral qualifications preferred
- Strong experience supporting pupils with behavioural or SEND needs
- Clear communication and a calm, patient approach
- Ability to maintain consistency and follow structured routines
- Full‑time Monday to Friday availability from September
- Interest in Coventry‑based primary roles

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
