Year 5 Primary Teacher

Provide Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed Year 5 Teacher to join a primary school in DN9 on a full-time, temporary basis.

This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who enjoys creating engaging lessons and helping pupils reach their full potential. You will be joining a school that values teamwork, positive relationships and high expectations, with support available from a dedicated staff team.

As the Year 5 Teacher, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day teaching and learning of the class, ensuring pupils are engaged, challenged and supported throughout their time in school.
What the role offers:

• £140–£165 per day, depending on experience
• Weekly PAYE payments
• Full-time temporary position
• Support from a dedicated Provide Education consultant

What we are looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Previous experience working within a UK primary school
• Experience teaching Key Stage 2, ideally Year 5
• A good understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
• The ability to plan and deliver creative and purposeful lessons
• Strong communication and classroom management skills
• A positive and adaptable approach to teaching
• A genuine commitment to supporting pupils’ academic and personal development
• A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply

Key responsibilities:

• Take full responsibility for the teaching and learning of a Year 5 class
• Plan and deliver lessons that are engaging, challenging and accessible to all pupils
• Use assessment to identify areas for development and track pupil progress
• Adapt teaching to support different abilities and learning needs
• Establish clear expectations and maintain positive behaviour within the classroom
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage them to become confident, independent learners
• Work closely with colleagues, teaching assistants and school leaders
• Contribute positively to the wider life of the school
