PPA Teacher – Catford

We are currently recruiting a qualified PPA Teacher to join a well-equipped primary school in Catford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and adaptable teacher to cover lessons across all primary key stages, including EYFS, KS1, and KS2. The role is offered on a direct employment basis for a minimum of one academic year, with access to the teachers’ pension scheme.

The school benefits from excellent facilities, including a large outdoor area and a forest school, and is conveniently located within walking distance of Catford and Catford Bridge stations, making it easily accessible by public transport.

The Role:

• Deliver engaging and motivating lessons aligned with the national curriculum

• Cover classes across EYFS, KS1, and KS2

• Work collaboratively with class teachers and teaching assistants to support pupil learning

• Maintain a stimulating, safe, and inclusive learning environment

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and monitor pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching across primary key stages

• Passionate about working with children and committed to fostering a positive learning environment

• Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and confident lesson delivery skills

• Understanding of safeguarding and commitment to child safety

• Experience or understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) is preferred

• Reliable, professional, and punctual

Candidate Requirements:

• Valid Enhanced DBS check registered with the DBS Update Service or willingness to apply immediately upon shortlisting

• UK-based teaching experience with a confident understanding of safeguarding practices

• Proof of qualifications required for all applicants
