About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Children's Services team. In this role, you will champion our core practice approach, which is built upon compassion, curiosity, collaboration, conversation, and courage. We are committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and seek a professional who shares this vital commitment.
Responsibilities:- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children in need, including those requiring protection or care.
- Coordinate service provision and perform statutory visits in accordance with established procedures.
- Engage in meaningful, professional relationships with children, families, and carers.
- Prepare and present high-quality reports for panels and court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records and collaborate effectively with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and regular supervision.
- Professional Social Work qualification (Degree or DipSW).
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Proven experience in child care social work, including direct work with families.
- Full driving licence.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and 2004.
