As the service continues to build and grow, this post offers the ideal platform to manage complex casework, mentor junior colleagues, and deputise for leadership-all while making a real difference to local children and families.

• Complex Casework: Hold and manage a dedicated caseload of more complex child protection and safeguarding cases.

• Reflective Supervision: Provide reflective practice supervision and facilitate group supervision sessions to highlight good practice and learning opportunities.

• Practice Leadership & Mentoring: Model exemplary practice, offer teaching/learning support, and guide newer members of staff and newly qualified social workers.

• Service Improvement & Data: Work alongside your Team Manager to drive the local improvement plan, support planning during family visits/meetings, and contribute to data accuracy.

• Leadership Support: Deputise for the Team Manager when unavailable and provide designated operational support across the team as identified.

• Professional Registration: Active registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England.

• Substantive Experience: Demonstrable post-qualifying experience in statutory Children's Safeguarding (Child Protection / Children in Need / Court proceedings).

• Leadership Potential: Proven ability to manage complex risk, facilitate reflective discussion, and mentor colleagues effectively.
