Grounds Maintenance Operative – Temporary to Permanent Location: Maidstone – Mobile Round (Schools) Salary: £13.50 per hour Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:30pm Job Type: Temporary to Permanent Start Date: Immediate We are currently recruiting for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join the team on a temporary-to-permanent basis, working on a mobile round covering schools across the Maidstone area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous grounds maintenance or landscaping experience who enjoys working outdoors and is looking for a long-term position. The Role As a Grounds Maintenance Operative, you will be responsible for maintaining school grounds to a high standard across a mobile route. Duties will include: • Grass cutting and strimming • Hedge and shrub maintenance • Weeding and general grounds upkeep • Litter picking and maintaining tidy outdoor areas • Using grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively • Carrying out general landscaping and horticultural duties as required • Travelling between schools across the Maidstone area • Working as part of a team while also managing tasks independently • Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard Requirements • Previous experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, gardening or a similar role is preferred • Full UK driving licence is essential • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions • Reliable, punctual and hardworking • Good attention to detail • Able to work independently and as part of a team • A professional and positive attitude If you have grounds maintenance experience, hold a full UK driving licence and are looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday role with the potential to become permanent, apply today!
