Van Driver - Salaried

We are looking for salaried van drivers. You will be working for a variety of companies in Exeter and the surrounding areas including Cullompton, Crediton and Newton Abbot. You will require transport to get to assignments. This is a salaried role for the right candidate. There will be some lifting on occasion and you will need good lieracy and numeracy skills for delivery paperwork. Some use of a handheld delivery pod may be used for some customers. Start times vary - Usually Monday to Friday although there could be some weekend work on offer occasionally. This role offers an exciting,  varied working life with the opportunity to work for a variety of clients. This is a salaried role working for Backline. Duties

• Safely operate a van to deliver goods to various locations.
• Load and unload items from the van, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Conduct regular inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with staff and customers regarding schedules and any potential delays.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel consumption.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Requirements

• Valid driving licence (class B) with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
