Senior Account Director

This is a packaging design agency and a genuine specialist in private brand and own-label work at global scale. It now sits within a global brand creation group spanning thousands of creators across dozens of studios, which means the security and cross-border reach of scale sit behind a leaner, low-ego studio culture where a senior leader stays close to the work.

This is a senior leadership role you’re brought into for one reason: to hold the senior line during a maternity leave. You’ll protect the quality of thinking across the department, and keep a talented group of Account Directors growing rather than simply getting through the year.

The Role
You’ll lead and develop a team of five Account Directors, coaching their commercial judgement and critical thinking rather than directing their tasks. You’ll be the escalation point on complex accounts and challenging stakeholder situations, and you’ll bring commercial clarity to pricing, scoping and profitability: reviewing quotations, assessing tenders, and helping teams see where value is created or protected.

The portfolio spans major UK and international retail and FMCG clients, branded and retailer-led work across packaging design, adaptive design, artwork, rollout, end-to-end brand development and digital shelf execution. Your remit is oversight, coaching and commercial governance, and being the most experienced voice in the room.

The Person
You’re a senior client services leader, Client Services Director, Group Account Director or equivalent, with a deep agency-side career, likely 10+ years spent leading senior client talent rather than only managing accounts. 

Your background spans brand, pack and FMCG, ideally with retailer own-brand exposure. You own commercial conversations comfortably across scopes, quotes, tenders and profitability, and you lead through coaching, not command.
