About the role

We are looking for a friendly, organised and proactive Business Support Assistant to join Heron Hall Academy. You will play an important role in providing a welcoming and professional reception service, while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the academy.

Working closely with colleagues, pupils and families, you will provide administrative support across admissions, attendance, finance, family communications and general office operations. You will be a key point of contact for parents, carers and visitors, helping to ensure a positive experience for everyone who interacts with the academy.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is organised, professional and approachable, with excellent communication and administrative skills. You will be confident working with pupils, parents, carers, staff and visitors and able to remain calm and solution-focused in a busy school environment.

You should have:

  • GCSEs in English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
  • Experience providing administrative support in a busy office environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft 365
  • Excellent organisation, accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A good understanding of safeguarding, data protection and confidentiality
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to build positive relationships across the academy community
