About the role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Architectural Technologist to join a busy, multi-disciplinary team in Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including alterations, repair and refurbishment of existing buildings, and new build developments across residential, commercial, education, and public sectors. The role offers particular exposure to conservation and heritage projects, as well as larger-scale frameworks and multi-disciplinary delivery programmes, providing a varied and technically challenging workload.
About the Role:
As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will play a key role in delivering detailed design and technical solutions. You will work closely with colleagues across the team, contributing your expertise to a variety of projects, from heritage building repairs to contemporary new-build developments.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Preparing detailed design drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and Revit
- Contributing to BIM workflows and technical documentation
- Producing technical reports and assisting with design coordination
- Advising colleagues on alterations, repair and conservation works
- Ensuring compliance with current building regulations and standards
- Managing a busy workload while maintaining high-quality output
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A relevant degree and professional membership (ACIAT/MCIAT)
- Proven experience in architectural practice, ideally with a mix of conservation, alterations, repair works, and new build projects
- Strong skills in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
- A solid understanding of BIM processes
- Experience managing projects and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and visual presentation skills
- Knowledge of modern construction techniques and CDM (Scotland or UK) Regulations
- Experience in conservation or heritage projects is highly desirable
