Rate: Up to £22.00 per hour Umbrella / Up to £16.45 per hour PAYE

Morson Edge is recruiting a Goods In Quality Inspector to support a major military aviation programme based at RAF Brize Norton.
Working within a Part 145 logistics and maintenance environment, you’ll be responsible for inspecting aircraft components and assemblies as they arrive on site, ensuring every item meets quality, airworthiness and traceability requirements before entering controlled storage.

The Role
As a Goods In Quality Inspector, you’ll carry out incoming inspections of aircraft components, materials and assemblies before they are accepted into Part 145 controlled stores.
Working closely with the Logistics Manager, Safety & Compliance and MRO teams, you’ll verify documentation, inspect components, maintain full traceability and ensure every item complies with regulatory and customer requirements before release into stock.
Key Responsibilities
Incoming Inspection
-
Carry out receipt and evaluation inspections of aircraft components and assemblies

Verify documentation, certification and traceability
-
Ensure compliance with inspection plans and quality procedures
-
Confirm conformity with MAA and EASA Part 145 requirements
-
Maintain manufacturer and material batch traceability
Quality Assurance
-
Raise discrepancy reports where required
-
Support investigations into supplier quality issues and customer complaints
-
Record and manage non-conformances
-
Support audits, modification programmes and continuous improvement activities
-
Promote compliance with Quality Management Systems and regulatory requirements
Essential Skills & Experience
-
5–7 years’ experience within an aerospace engineering or maintenance environment

Experience working under MAA Part 145 or EASA Part 145 regulations
-
Strong knowledge of aircraft materials, documentation and maintenance practices
-
Experience inspecting aircraft components and assemblies
-
Experience working with Quality Management Systems (QMS)
-
Good Microsoft Office skills
-
Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Desirable Experience

Part 21 experience
-
Knowledge of AS9100
-
First Article Inspection (FAI) experience

Logistics or inventory management experience

Customer-facing experience within military or civilian aviation

Aerospace engineering qualification or equivalent

MAA or EASA Part 145 Certification
