Are you ready to make a positive impact on the lives of students? North Durham Academy are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to take on the role of Year Manager. Working closely with the Head of Inclusion and Head of Year, you will be responsible for a specific year group.

As a key member of our Year Team, you'll play a crucial role in upholding the highest standards of student well-being. Your responsibilities include fostering a safe and secure learning environment, ensuring the promotion and adherence to Academy policies, and nurturing a learning culture with high expectations.

You will be the primary point of contact for parents and caregivers, leading year group assemblies and maintaining a strong presence on campus. Your daily tasks will involve monitoring student attendance, punctuality, and behaviour, including the initiation of first-day absence procedures, collating attendance data, and managing behaviour incidents effectively.

Your role also entails providing daily care, guidance, and support to students in your year group. Collaboration with external agencies to support students in your year group is a key part of your responsibilities.

As a Year Manager you'll be setting an example for students in work ethic, conduct, dress code, punctuality, and attendance. Your positive influence will play a pivotal role in shaping our students' lives.

Please note that we operate a probationary period of 4 months across all jobs in the Trust (see attached policy for further details). You will receive a comprehensive induction to support you to successfully pass your probation.
