Senior Planning Enforcement Officer

West Midlands, UK Carrington West Senior Planning Enforcement Officer Hybrid / 1 day per week in the office £40-45 p/h (Depending on experience) 37 hours per week Job Ref - 68748 An excellent opportunity for an experienced Planning Enforcement Officer to join a busy local authority planning team, managing a varied caseload of planning enforcement matters. The role will suit an experienced enforcement professional who is confident managing cases independently, investigating breaches of planning control and working with a range of stakeholders to achieve appropriate resolutions. Key responsibilities: ·Manage a caseload of planning enforcement investigations ·Investigate alleged breaches of planning control ·Assess cases and determine appropriate courses of action ·Prepare enforcement notices, reports and other relevant documentation ·Provide professional planning enforcement advice to colleagues, Members and stakeholders ·Liaise with applicants, landowners, agents and members of the public ·Work closely with legal and other internal teams where required ·Progress complex and contentious enforcement cases through to resolution Requirements: ·Relevant planning qualification or significant planning enforcement experience ·Proven experience working within a local authority planning enforcement team ·Strong knowledge of planning enforcement legislation and procedures ·Experience managing a caseload independently ·Confident dealing with complex and contentious enforcement matters ·Strong written and verbal communication skills ·Strong written and verbal communication skills Hybrid working, with requirement of 1 day per week in office.
