People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Solihull, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, immediate starts, and genuine temp-to-permanent opportunities.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Class 1 Driver, or CE Driver. Great opportunity for newly passed drivers with a minimum of three months’ experience.

Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday | £19.00 per hour
• Saturday | £22.00 per hour
• Sunday | £23.00 per hour
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Sunday | Start times between 15:00 and 21:00
• Weekend work available if wanted

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

• Trunking work
• Driving and operating Category C+E (Class 1) vehicles
• Ensuring all loads are secure before transportation
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Assisting with loading and unloading where required

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence
• Minimum of three months’ Class 1 driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements

Desirable Experience:

• Previous commercial Class 1 driving experience
• Experience working within a fast-paced transport operation

Training:

• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
