The Role as a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher. You will ensure students remain engaged with the work provided, maintain a positive learning environment and follow the school’s behaviour policies. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or individuals with experience working with young people.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans across a variety of subjects.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Ensure pupils remain focused and engaged throughout lessons.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff following each lesson.
• Promote a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Follow school safeguarding and behaviour policies at all times.

RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you should have:

• Experience working with children or young people (school-based experience is desirable but not essential).
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Confidence supervising classes independently.
• A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• A passion for supporting students in their education.
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
• The right to work in the UK.
