A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Hastings is looking for a dedicated SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term supply basis through Pink Tile Education.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping children with additional needs reach their full potential. You’ll become an integral part of the school community, taking full responsibility for planning, teaching, assessing and adapting lessons to meet the needs of your pupils.

The Role
As the school’s SEN Teacher, you will:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with a range of additional learning needs.
Take full responsibility for planning, marking and assessment in line with the school’s expectations.
Create an inclusive classroom where every pupil feels supported, challenged and valued.
Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
Work closely with the SENDCo, class teachers, teaching assistants and external professionals.
Monitor pupil progress, celebrate achievements and identify next steps for learning.
Foster positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues to support each child’s development.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Has experience teaching pupils with Special Educational Needs, either within a specialist or mainstream setting.
Understands how to differentiate learning effectively to support a range of additional needs.
Is patient, creative and committed to inclusive education.
Can build positive relationships with pupils who require consistency, encouragement and understanding.
Works collaboratively as part of a wider school team.

Experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, cognition and learning needs or complex SEND would be highly desirable.

Essential Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Recent UK teaching experience.
Experience supporting pupils with SEND.
Confidence planning, preparing and marking lessons independently.
Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
Two professional references.
Strong understanding of safeguarding and inclusive teaching practices.
