Teaching Assistant

Hours: 31.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (term time only)

Salary: Grade 1/2 Spinal Point 3-5, £22,223 - £22,859 actual salary per annum, based on FTE £29,561 - £30,406 per annum (Inclusive of Outer London Weighting)

To help us, we are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our successful school to work with primary aged children. We are looking for someone who is willing to work with children with a range of abilities, including those with special educational needs.

Applications are welcome from candidates with experience of working in a primary school and are qualified with NVQ level 2 or above.

The successful candidate will be:

• Proactive, well-organised and willing to work collaboratively with the class teacher and other colleagues
• Have effective communication skills and have a clam, patient personality
• Able to engage and enthuse pupils, encouraging independence in their learning
• Passionate about supporting all groups of children to enhance the quality of their learning and raise pupil achievement
• Ability to adapt or modify interactions to meet pupil needs
• Ability to summarise and present information from observations of pupil performance
• Minimum GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
• Level 2 TA Certificate or equivalent (Desirable)
• Confident in using ICT.
