Deputy Nursery Manager

About the Nursery:

A lovely, small, nursery setting in Burnham. They have created a natural warm, friendly environment with action-packed days for yourself and the children.

We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager with a minimum Level 3 qualification whose primary goal is to deliver the highest standards of childcare and early years education & to apply your knowledge and best practices to ensure our children have the best start in life.

Duties:

• To be responsible for the educational and operational aspects of the nursery
• To provide safe, high-quality education and care for children attending the nursery
• To fulfill legal and statutory requirements and to supervise staff on a day-to-day basis
• To deliver and implement Nursery policies
• Effective team leadership – to lead a team, manage effectively and efficiently, uphold positive working relationships and be an effective mentor
• To manage the provision of the nursery ensuring that children, parents and the staff team work together to provide high-quality education and care
• To be responsible for the management of day-to-day financial operations within the nursery, by meeting financial targets and managing the occupancy ensuring maximum capacity
• To agree and set nursery goals and monitor the achievement of progress against targets
• To monitor and assess the quality of provision ensuring that policies and procedures, best practice and standards are maintained
• Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
• Collaborate with parents and other staff members to support children’s individual needs
  Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children.
