About the role
All about the Role
The Safeguarding Social Worker role sits within the Adult Safeguarding Team and is responsible for supporting Peterborough City Council's statutory safeguarding duties under the Care Act 2014. The post holder undertakes safeguarding triage, information gathering, risk assessment, decision making regarding safeguarding concerns, completing s42 enquiries and works in partnership with health, police, housing and other agencies to protect adults at risk of abuse or neglect. The role requires a qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England and experience of working within Adult Safeguarding, the Care Act 2014 and the Mental Capacity Act 2005
