About the role
CCTV Commissioning Engineer
Location: Wakefield
Duration: 1 week, with possible extension
Rate: £300–£325 per day
Start: Monday 10th August
We are seeking an experienced CCTV Commissioning Engineer to support a short-term commissioning assignment in Wakefield. The role will involve commissioning, testing, and handing over CCTV systems to a high standard, ensuring all works are completed safely, accurately, and in line with project requirements.
Key responsibilities
• Commission CCTV systems in line with design and specification.
• Carry out testing, fault-finding, and final system checks.
• Ensure all devices, recording equipment, and associated network connections are correctly configured.
• Complete snagging and resolve commissioning issues promptly.
• Liaise with site teams, clients, and project managers as required.
• Produce clear handover documentation and commissioning records.
• Maintain health and safety standards at all times.
Requirements
• Proven experience as a CCTV Commissioning Engineer.
• Strong knowledge of CCTV systems, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to work independently and complete commissioning efficiently.
• SSSTS certification is required.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
• Experience working on commercial or industrial security projects.
• Familiarity with leading CCTV platforms and associated integration work.
• Able to start at short notice.
