About the role

A friendly primary school in Leamington seeks a part‑time Teaching Assistant to support KS2 pupils from September. You work with small SEND groups and help children access learning with confidence. Moreover, you create calm routines that support regulation and positive behaviour. In addition, you follow clear guidance from the class teacher to deliver structured tasks and targeted interventions. Throughout the day, you encourage engagement, build strong relationships and promote steady progress.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide KS2 classroom support for pupils needing extra guidance
  • Deliver small SEND group activities that reinforce key skills
  • Use clear routines to support structure and reduce anxiety
  • Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils with additional needs
  • Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to maintain consistent provision
  • Encourage literacy and numeracy development through guided practice

 

What We’re Looking For

  • A qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant with strong SEND knowledge
  • Confidence supporting small groups with varied learning needs
  • Clear communication and a patient, nurturing approach
  • Ability to follow structured routines and support emotional regulation
  • Part‑time availability from September
