Holt Engineering are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Stores & Stock Control Operative to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience who is looking for a stable, permanent position.

Holt Engineering are currently recruiting for a reliable and organised Stores & Stock Control Operative to join a busy engineering and manufacturing environment. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience who is looking for a stable, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities for the Stores & Stock Control Operative:
- Booking goods in and out using Sage 200
- Checking deliveries and reporting any missing, damaged or incorrect items
- Picking and preparing stock for customer orders
- Assembling products and components when required
- Organising collections and deliveries, including completing the relevant paperwork
- Keeping stock records accurate and up to date
- Assisting with regular stock checks and stock takes
- Working with the production and engineering teams to ensure materials are available when needed
- Helping to maintain accurate stock and product information
- Keeping the stores and warehouse clean, tidy and organised
- Liaising with suppliers and other departments when required
- Carrying out general administration and stores duties as required
- Previous experience in a warehouse, stores or stock control environment
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience using a stock control system is advantageous
- Sage 200 experience is desirable but not essential
- Good organisational skills
- Comfortable working with stock, paperwork and computer systems
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience handling electrical or engineering components would be beneficial
- Good understanding of health and safety
- Full-time, permanent position
