Test & Trials Engineer

Test & Trials Engineer   Based in Stevenage   Salary £45,000 - £55,000 + Bonus + Overtime + Excellent Benefits   Not every engineering role lets you get hands-on with the testing and validation of complex defence systems.   This one does.   We're looking for a Test & Trials Engineer to join a growing team working on a major next-generation defence programme. You'll play a key role in planning, supporting and delivering trials activity that demonstrates system safety, performance and compliance.   You'll work alongside specialists across systems engineering, safety, integration and validation, gaining exposure to a broad range of test disciplines including ordnance, EMC, environmental testing and propulsion-related activities.   If you enjoy solving technical problems, working with real hardware and seeing engineering move from concept into proven capability, this is worth exploring.   What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting the planning and delivery of test and trials activities
• Contributing to system validation and verification programmes
• Supporting safety proving and compliance activities
• Working closely with systems, safety and integration engineers
• Analysing test results and producing technical reports
• Engaging with stakeholders across the UK and Europe
• Helping identify risks, resolve technical issues and improve test processes

What We're Looking For

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Physics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Experience within a test, trials, validation or verification environment
• Ability to analyse technical data and communicate findings clearly
• Experience working within defence, aerospace or another highly regulated industry

Experience in any of the following would be particularly useful:

• EMC testing
• Environmental or climatic testing
• Mechanical testing
• Safety engineering
• Risk assessment
• Military or defence standards
• Ordnance, munitions or explosives programmes
• Systems engineering
• Project delivery within complex engineering environments
