Risk Management Analyst

Active search for a full-time permanent Risk Management Analyst to join an established Risk & Process Management function within a well-regarded FTSE brand. The vacancy represents an excellent opportunity to  support the development and of comprehensive Risk & Governance framework, ensuring all risk and associated modelling activity aligned to industry governance and regulation.

The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate (Economics, Finance, Business) or an early career Analyst looking for a new challenge with greater complexity. The post holder will be involved in the maintenance and monitoring of high stakes financial risk policies along with provide analysis and reports on credit risk assessment outcomes.

Selection of responsibilities:

• Conducting detailed analyses to support risk assessment and strategic decision-making.
• Providing governance support to ensure robust and compliant processes.
• Validating and maintaining a range of critical models, including commercial, credit, pricing, and liquidity models, used across the organization.
• Maintenance and development of risk of MS Excel based Risk assessment tool
• Support the planning of Risk Model review group forums, meetings etc

Selection of skills:

This role is tailored for someone at the start of their career who is eager to apply their knowledge in a practical setting, gaining exposure to key areas of financial risk and business operations.

• Degree in Finance, Economics, or a closely related discipline.
• Knowledge & understanding of financial economics, risk management concepts, and their application in banking or finance.
• Proficiency in Excel and VBA for data analysis and modelling.
• 12 months of relevant experience gained through internships, placement years, or postgraduate roles, ideally within the finance or banking sector (desirable)
• Willingness to work two days per week in Birmingham.
