Data Engineer

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Data Engineer to work on a highly transformative MoD programme that will have a big impact on the British Army’s future capability. This role presents a chance to operate as an SME on Data Strategy, influencing key design decisions and would suit a Data Engineer who enjoys collaborating with cross functional engineering teams. Location In the Westbury, Wiltshire area. Hybrid Working 2-3 days per week will be expected on site. Flexible working is available. Responsibilities Ensure Security and Compliance of Data Environments Author, review and contribute to relevant documentation Assist in design or scalable, highperformance platforms and pipelines Define and enforce data engineering standards Act as an SME on Data Strategy Evaluate, select and integrate new tools into the data ecosystem Skills Required Hands on Data Engineering experience Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) Good SQL skills Programming skills in Python, Scala or Java Data transformation ETL Pipelines Excellent communication and collaborative skills Security Clearance The ability and willingness to obtain SC Clearance is required for this role.
