Local Authority Private Housing Standards Officer West London 
Pay rate up to £40 per hour 
Contract role, Local Government Housing  
 
We are recruiting for an experienced Local Authority Private Housing Standards Officer in West London 
Your responsibilities will include:  

• To contribute to improving the quality of the private sector housing stock and ensure the sector can fulfil its potential in meeting housing need in the Borough.  

• You will contribute directly towards the improvement of private sector dwelling conditions across the Borough through a variety of informal and formal enforcement action and policy development. 

• The postholder will work as part of a team in investigating & resolving housing condition complaints and reports of sub-standard houses of multiple occupation in accordance with the Housing Act 2004, Housing Health and Safety Rating System and council policy & procedures. 

• You will need to have experience of HMO licensing, poor living standards, HHSRS and environmental health. 

 
This is a contract role, and you will need to have experience in a similar role in a Local Authority setting
