Senior Performance Marketing Lead

Senior Performance Marketing Lead (Freelance) | 2-Month Contract | London Hybrid

I'm currently supporting a leading UK digital marketplace with the appointment of a Senior Performance Marketing Lead on an initial 2-month freelance contract.

This role is suited to a senior, hands-on performance marketer who can quickly take ownership of paid acquisition activity, optimise channel performance and provide commercial insight while the business recruits permanently.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing and optimising PPC (Google Ads) and Paid Social campaigns.
• Owning and optimising monthly paid media budgets of £100k–£200k+.
• Monitoring channel performance, identifying opportunities and implementing improvements.
• Analysing acquisition data, sales funnels and conversion performance to drive efficiencies.
• Partnering with creative teams to deliver structured A/B testing and creative optimisation.
• Providing commercially focused recommendations to improve acquisition performance and customer quality.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive hands-on experience across Google Ads and Paid Social.
• A proven track record managing significant paid media budgets.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills, with experience improving acquisition performance, CAC and conversion rates.
• Experience across B2B or B2C lead generation environments (rather than pure D2C/eCommerce).
• A data-led approach to testing, optimisation and performance marketing.

Location: London or Portsmouth hybrid (approximately one day per week in the office, with flexibility).

Contract: Initial 2 months.
