Are you a recent graduate looking to build a career supporting young people with special educational needs? A specialist secondary school in South Birmingham is looking to appoint a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the full academic year. This is an excellent opportunity to gain first-hand experience supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils with autism and moderate learning difficulties, making it an ideal stepping stone into teaching, educational psychology, speech and language therapy, or occupational therapy.

The Role
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside experienced teachers to support students throughout the school day. You'll provide classroom support, deliver personalised 1-2-1 and small group interventions, and help pupils develop their communication, literacy, numeracy, and independence skills. You'll adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, encourage positive engagement, and celebrate every achievement as students progress towards their personal and academic goals.
