Validation & testing Define and execute validation plans (DVP&R) for electrical systems. See your designs come to life through hands-on testing activities, from laboratory rigs to full machine trials in real-world operating environments. Investigate challenges, validate solutions and directly influence final machine performance. Use CAN tools to verify system behaviour and diagnose issues. Fault finding & issue resolution Lead structured, system-level fault investigations. Analyse CAN data, logs and machine performance to identify root causes. Drive corrective actions in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Programme delivery Support delivery of systems in line with timing, cost and quality targets. Contribute to design reviews, gateway processes and change control. Work closely with suppliers on components such as ECUs, sensors and wiring harnesses. Electronics & Control Systems Engineer Requirements: Essential: * You will thrive in this role if you're passionate about solving complex engineering challenges, enjoy seeing technology applied to real-world machines, and want to take ownership of systems that make a measurable difference to customers. * Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic Engineering (or similar). * Minimum 2 years' experience within off-highway, automotive or mobile machinery environments. * You have a strong understanding of electrical architectures (12V/24V systems), CAN/J1939 communication and control system fundamentals. * You are confident in system integration, machine testing and electrical fault finding. Beneficial: * Experience with tools such as CANalyzer, CANape or other Vector tools. * Knowledge of functional safety standards (ISO 13849 / ISO 26262). * Understanding of wiring harness design and EMC considerations.
