Role: Vehicle Dismantler Technician
Location: Lewes, East Sussex
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Pay: £12.80 – £14.34 per hour, depending on holiday pay accrual
Contract: Temp-to-perm

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Vehicle Dismantler Technician to join one of our longstanding clients, a well-established specialist in Lewes.

This is a fantastic temporary-to-permanent opportunity for someone who is mechanically minded and enjoys practical, hands-on work. Full training will be provided, making this an excellent opportunity for candidates looking to build a long-term career within the automotive industry.

The Requirements

• Previous experience in vehicle dismantling, mechanics, vehicle recycling, garages or a similar practical role is desirable but not essential
• Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Happy working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures
• Full UK driving licence is advantageous but not essential

The Role

• Safely drain fuel, oil, coolant and other vehicle fluids
• Remove batteries, tyres and other hazardous materials in line with environmental regulations
• Dismantle vehicles and separate recyclable materials including metals and plastics
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised yard
• Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental procedures
• Work efficiently to achieve daily production targets
• Assist with general yard duties as required
• Wear appropriate PPE, including safety footwear and a high-visibility vest
