Key Responsibilities
  • High-Impact Teaching: Deliver clear, stimulating, and well-structured mathematics lessons across KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) aligned with the UK National Curriculum.

  • Full Curriculum Duties: Take full ownership of your classes, including comprehensive lesson preparation, ongoing assessment, and constructive marking to accelerate student progress.

  • Inclusive Learning: Differentiate instruction effectively to ensure both higher-attaining pupils and those requiring additional support meet their full potential.

  • Classroom Management: Establish high expectations for effort and attainment, maintaining a purposeful atmosphere grounded in positive reinforcement and mutual respect.

  • Departmental Contribution: Participate actively in subject meetings, moderation sessions, and extra-curricular support, such as maths clubs or exam revision workshops.


Candidate Profile

We are searching for a dedicated specialist who combines strong numeracy expertise with an approachable, motivating teaching style.

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS, with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline.

  • Proven track record of delivering the UK Maths curriculum at secondary level.

  • Excellent organisation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong professional relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.

  • Strong classroom management techniques that support high levels of student engagement and positive behaviour.

  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to process one via Randstad).
