About the Role We are looking for a long-term team member to join our growing firm. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates seeking stability, development, and career progression within accounting and finance. You will receive hands-on training to help you develop your skills and progress into greater responsibilities over time. ​Key Responsibilities • ​Processing payments, invoices, income, and receipts accurately. • ​Performing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for client accounts. • ​Assisting with the preparation and submission of VAT Returns. • ​Checking, auditing, and reconciling bank statements. • ​Supporting the wider finance team with general administrative tasks. ​The Ideal Candidate • ​Financial Aptitude: Solid foundational knowledge, interest, or experience in finance, numerical data, and bookkeeping concepts. • ​Work Ethic: Self-motivated, capable of multi-tasking, working quickly, and maintaining high accuracy under tight deadlines. • ​Attention to Detail: Excellent concentration and a keen eye for detail. • ​Growth Mindset: Seeking a long-term role with a clear path for professional development. ​Certification Requirements & Training Pathways ​Please read carefully before applying: Being Sage 50 qualifed is a mandatory requirement for this role. ​To ensure complete transparency regarding our recruitment process, please review the following pathways depending on your current qualification status: • ​Fully Certified Candidates: ​Applicants who already hold a valid Sage 50 Certification will proceed directly into our standard employer recruitment and interview process. • ​Uncertified Candidates / Trainees: ​If you do not currently hold the required Sage certification, you may choose to obtain the qualification independently through any accredited third-party provider. • ​Alternatively, you may choose to complete the training through Accounting Placements via a fully refundable £99 deposit (subject to standard terms and conditions). • ​Important Notice: Completing the Sage certification—whether independently or through Accounting Placements—does not guarantee employment.
