HGV Class 1

RATES: £19.38 – 21.85 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday pay)

LOCATION: Ashton-in-Makerfield (WN4)

JOB ROLE: HGV Class 1 

SHIFTS: 5 days out of 7

SHIFT TIMES: AM & PM starts

REQUIRMENTS:

• C+E licence – minimum 6 months of HGV Class 1 experience
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Driver’s hours)
• Good national geographical awareness
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Good timekeeping and able to work unsupervised
• Must have good communication skills and flexible can-do attitude to work

DUTIES:

• Adhering to safe working to always ensure the safety of yourself and others
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage
• Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customers issues on delivery.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of transport office as necessary
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised
• Possess an enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards first class customer service.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 to carry out safe, efficient store deliveries. The role would involve working “five days outs of seven with elements of working 50% weekends on a 6-week rota”
