Waking Nights Team Leader - Adult Provision

Salary: £36,363 - £40,777 pro rata (Grade 6)

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract Type: 1 Part Time, Permanent


City of Wolverhampton Council Adult Provision has an exciting opportunity for a permanent team leader to join the service.

We are seeking to appoint skilled & enthusiastic individuals who will contribute to the operational management of our residential and respite services.

The role will require the postholders to move around the city and travel to our CQC registered residential and respite establishments. The postholders will take lead responsibility for the night-time management activities and care provided across adult provision.

The standard working week is 35 hours, working on a rota basis, including weekends.

To ensure postholders are able to work holistically, in addition to night work, there will be a requirement to work two-day time shifts per month

The successful applicants will have line management responsibility therefore must have:

  • Supervisory and management skills
  • Relevant Social Care qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience of working with people in a regulated service or community services.
  • Excellent communication & organisational skills.
  • To have the ability and flexibility to problem solve and deal with emergencies or issues as they arise.
  • Ability to demonstrate confident and effective judgement about risk and accountability in decision making
