HGV Driver (Class 1)

HGV Class 1 Driver Location: Flanders Farm, Ratcliffe Highway, Rochester, Kent Salary: £17.90 per hour (OTE £40,000 – £57,000) Hours: Approx. 50+ hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday Employment Type: Full Time Job Role A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join a well-established and growing fresh produce distribution business. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting fresh produce (apples and pears) from the main depot and delivering goods to major distribution centres across the UK, including national supermarket and food service supply chains. This is a steady, long-term driving position within a highly reputable operation with strong year-on-year growth. About the Company A long-established UK fresh produce business operating since 1947, specialising in the growth, importation, and nationwide distribution of apples and pears. The company supplies some of the UK’s largest retailers and food service providers from a network of farms and production sites. Key Responsibilities • Collecting fruit products from the main depot • Driving Class 1 HGV vehicles safely and efficiently • Delivering goods to UK distribution centres nationwide • Completing delivery paperwork and compliance checks • Carrying out vehicle checks and ensuring roadworthiness • Adhering to all driving regulations and company procedures Essential Requirements • Valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV Licence • Minimum 1 year HGV driving experience Benefits • Competitive hourly rate with strong OTE • Stable, long-term opportunity • Established and reputable UK operation • Monday–Friday working pattern • 23 days holiday allowance • Opportunity to work within a leading fresh produce supply chain
