Permanent | Full-time | Monday to Friday, 8 am – 5 pm

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly, close-knit team.

Supporting the Accounts Manager and working closely with the Directors, you’ll play an important part in the day-to-day running of the finance function. This is a varied role where no two days are quite the same, making it ideal for someone who enjoys getting involved and taking ownership of their work.

Key responsibilities

• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Managing supplier accounts and resolving queries
• Assisting with monthly accounts and reconciliations
• Supporting applications, valuations and cost tracking
• Assisting with timesheets, expenses and payroll administration
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Working closely with colleagues across the business
• Providing general accounts and office administration support

Experience required

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• A proactive approach with good communication skills
