About the Role
Randstad Social Care is seeking an experienced Criminal Justice Social Worker to join a dedicated, supportive team in Dundee. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage complex justice caseloads, conduct court-mandated reports, and work closely with individuals within the criminal justice system while enjoying flexible working patterns and comprehensive travel and accommodation support.

Key Responsibilities
- Court Reports & Assessments: Prepare high-quality, analytical criminal justice reports (including Criminal Justice Social Work Reports / CJSWRs) for the courts, Parole Board, and children's hearings where applicable.
- Caseload Management & Supervision: Manage a complex caseload of individuals subject to community-based sentences, court orders, or post-release supervision, utilizing evidence-based risk assessment tools (such as LS/CMI, Caledonia, or SARA).
- Offender Rehabilitation & Risk Management: Conduct robust risk assessments and implement targeted intervention plans to manage risk, and promote behavioral change.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner closely with the Scottish Prison Service (SPS), Police Scotland, NHS health services, housing agencies, and local voluntary sector organisations.
- Statutory Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain precise, up-to-date case records and legal documentation in line with national standards and local authority guidelines.
Requirements
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) (or registered with Social Work England with eligibility to switch).
- Vetting: Valid membership in the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) scheme.
- Qualifications: Recognised Degree or Diploma in Social Work (BA Hons, DipSW, MSc).
- Experience & Specialisms: Proven post-qualifying experience in statutory Criminal Justice Social Work. Training or experience in risk and need assessment tools (e.g., LS/CMI, Caledonia, SARA) is highly advantageous.
