About the role

We are seeking an experienced CCTV Commissioning Engineer to lead the testing, commissioning, and handover of CCTV and associated security systems on rail infrastructure projects. The role requires strong experience working to Network Rail standards, with proven expertise in Bosch and Hanwha CCTV systems. Key Responsibilities • Act as Tester in Charge (TIC) for CCTV commissioning activities on rail projects • Lead and coordinate all testing and commissioning activities in line with Network Rail processes and standards • Commission, configure, and test CCTV systems including: Bosch (BVMS, cameras, encoders) • Hanwha Vision / Wisenet systems • Develop and execute test plans, ITPs, and commissioning procedures • Manage and witness FAT/SAT and site acceptance testing • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, specifications, and assurance processes • Oversee system integration with telecoms, SCADA, access control, and other rail systems • Produce and sign off test documentation, handover packs, and certification • Coordinate with project engineers, installation teams, and client representatives • Lead fault finding, issue resolution, and system optimisation • Ensure all works are delivered in line with health, safety, and rail compliance requirements Required Skills & Experience • Proven experience as a Tester in Charge (TIC) or senior commissioning engineer within rail • Demonstrable experience working on Network Rail projects • Strong hands-on experience with: Bosch CCTV systems (BVMS) • Hanwha Vision / Wisenet CCTV systems • In-depth understanding of rail telecoms and CCTV standards • Strong knowledge of IP networking (switching, routing, VLANs, fibre) • Experience producing and reviewing test documentation and commissioning reports • Ability to manage and lead commissioning teams on-site • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills Desirable • IRSE Licence (or working towards) • Knowledge of ONVIF and multi-vendor integrations • Experience with station systems, depots, or lineside CCTV deployments • Familiarity with cybersecurity requirements in rail environments • Experience integrating CCTV into wider rail telecoms systems
