Groundsman/Waste Porter

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Groundsman/Waste Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of our grounds, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all visitors and staff. Your primary responsibilities will include regular cleaning and maintenance of outdoor areas, including lawns, gardens, pathways, and parking lots. You will also be responsible for the collection and proper disposal of waste and recyclables, ensuring that all waste management protocols are followed. Additionally, you will assist with general landscaping tasks such as mowing, planting, and pruning, and may be required to operate basic gardening equipment safely and effectively.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in grounds maintenance or waste management is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. A good level of physical fitness is necessary, as the role involves manual labor and working outdoors in various weather conditions. You should also have excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently to meet deadlines. A valid driver’s license is advantageous, as there may be a need to transport equipment or materials.
