HSE Engineer - Operations

Our client is currently recruiting for the position of HSE Engineer (Operations) based in Aberdeen. This is a permanent position offering hybrid working.
 
They are looking for an experienced HSE Engineer to join the Aberdeen Office and support their Offshore Operations.
Reporting to the Section Head HSE and the Asset Manager, you will coordinate Technical Safety and related activities across their FPSO operations. You will work closely with colleagues in Aberdeen and the Netherlands, offshore teams, clients, regulators and industry organisations.
 
 
Key responsibilities:

• Oversee Technical Safety activities and related Improvement Projects.
• Act as the Technical Safety focal point in Risk Assessments.
• Technical HSE matters and engagement with external parties including the Health & Safety Executive (HSE), OSDR, OEUK, SCiS and clients.
• Support the wider development of Process Safety Management (PSM) improvements and assurance activities.
• Lead or participate in risk assessments, audits and incident investigations.
• Oversee the effectiveness of Safety & Environmental Critical Elements (SECEs) and other Health, Safety and Environmental arrangements in place.
• Develop and monitor HSE performance indicators, audit findings and incident trends.
• Provide regular HSE and Process Safety performance reporting to Asset and Line Management.

 
Requirements:
 
The ideal candidate will have significant offshore oil and gas experience in the UK, strong knowledge of Technical and Process Safety Management, experience working with UK regulators, and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
