About the role
Our client, a well-known helicopter operator in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 Licensed Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Scotland. This role is pivotal in ensuring the ongoing maintenance and operational readiness of helicopters, providing an opportunity to contribute significantly to the maintenance operations and report directly to the Chief Engineer.
Main Responsibilities:
- Complying with regulatory requirements as described in the regulations
- Ensuring all line maintenance tasks on helicopters meet the standard of the UK CAA and M.O.E. instructions
- Collaborating with fellow engineers to ensure a flexible work planning and roster that supports business continuity
- Completing maintenance within appropriate timescales to ensure aircraft serviceability
- Analysing and solving daily operational problems based on pilot and other relevant information
- Briefing and debriefing pilots and Chief Engineer
- Performing preflight checks (PRF)
- Coordinating with the supply chain, store, and support services to ensure necessary maintenance materials and spare parts are available
- Reporting daily on the maintenance situation to the Chief Engineer
Job Requirements:
- UK CAA Part 66 B1.3 License
- Experience in aviation and as a licensed engineer
- Engineering experience in different aviation companies is a plus
- ICT literate, with proficiency in aviation-specific software and MS Office
- Professional level English language skills
- Strong understanding and adherence to operational, quality, and safety procedures
- Excellent communication skills, including debriefing pilots, flight crew, and the Chief Engineer, and handover of work between shifts
- Ability to work independently in less controlled environments and take initiative to improve work processes
- Logical thinking and problem-solving abilities
