About the role
Operational Support Officer - Hull Crown Court
Location: Hull, HU1 2EZ
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, office-based
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential extension)
Pay rate: £13.25
Our client, a reputable government organisation, is hiring for a dedicated Operational Support Officer to join the Crown Court team in Hull. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the smooth running of court proceedings and support the judiciary in a busy legal environment.
What you'll be doing:
* Providing usher support to the judiciary, ensuring courtrooms run efficiently and effectively
* Assisting with administrative tasks such as listing, booking interpreters, and managing court schedules
* Answering general queries from court users and visitors
* Supporting the jury office, including handling junior staff and processing expenses
* Maintaining accurate records and supporting the overall operational needs of the court
What you'll bring:
* Good organisational skills and attention to detail
* Basic administrative experience, ideally within a busy environment
* Proficiency in MS Word, MS Teams, and MS Outlook
* Friendly and professional communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
Additional information:
* No specific experience required, but some admin background is desirable
