General Foreman - Tunnelling & Civils

Rate: Dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for an experienced General Foreman to join a leading tunnelling contractor on a major project based in Pakington.

This role will play a key part in delivering complex works including shaft sinking, tunnelling operations and civils, ensuring safe and efficient site delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations across tunnelling and civil works
• Supervise site teams and subcontractors
• Manage works involving shaft sinking, tunnelling, and associated infrastructure
• Ensure all works are delivered in line with programme, quality, and safety requirements
• Conduct site briefings, toolbox talks, and daily coordination
• Liaise with engineers, site management, and key stakeholders
• Order materials and manage site logistics to maintain programme delivery

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a General Foreman within tunnelling projects
• SMSTS
• Strong background in shaft sinking, civil, or water works
• Computer literate, with the ability to complete paperwork and use site systems
• Experience managing site teams and subcontractors
• Solid understanding of H&S procedures and site compliance
• Ability to work on fast-paced, technically complex projects
