About the role

Henderson Scott is recruiting a Senior Strategic Business Analyst to support the second phase of a critical transformation programme.

Working as part of exprienced project team, you will lead the strategic analysis for a new phase of the programme. This is an early-stage shaping role focused on establishing business needs, intended outcomes and organisational impacts-not a traditional systems or process BA position.

You will work closely with Director and Head-of-level stakeholders, helping them navigate competing priorities and agree a clear, evidence-based direction.

Key responsibilities:

  • Define and articulate the underlying business needs and desired outcomes.

  • Assess the potential organisational, operational and data impacts.

  • Translate an emerging vision into a clear strategy and high-level blueprint.

  • Shape options, recommendations, business cases and strategic roadmaps.

  • Identify the data and insight required to support effective decision-making.

  • Facilitate workshops with senior stakeholders and secure agreement on priorities.

  • Challenge constructively and maintain momentum within a complex stakeholder environment.

  • Produce clear strategic outputs that enable senior leaders to make informed decisions.

  • Work independently with limited oversight and light-touch senior support.

About you:

  • Significant experience as a Senior, Lead or Strategic Business Analyst.

  • Strong strategic analysis and business-shaping experience.

  • Proven ability to move from vision and ambiguity to agreed business needs, outcomes and plans.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills at Director, Head-of and sponsor level.

  • Confidence challenging senior stakeholders and aligning people with differing priorities.

  • Strong knowledge of data and its role in impact assessment, strategy and decision-making.

  • Experience producing business models, blueprints, options papers, business cases or strategic roadmaps.

  • A proactive, resilient and self-sufficient approach.

  • Comfortable introducing structure where formal project and analysis methods may not be well established.

This is an excellent opportunity to play an influential role in shaping the next phase of a critical transformation programme.

To apply, please submit your CV or contact Iain Marr at Henderson Scott for a confidential discussion.
