About the role
Milk Education are recruiting for purpose-driven, ambitious, and qualified SEMH Teachers to join an exceptional Alternative Provision.
The successful candidates will deliver a high-quality, personalised education for pupils aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Whether you’re an ECT or an experienced teacher, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people.
The school is a trauma-informed setting, specialising in supporting pupils who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs). Staff work collaboratively to provide a nurturing, consistent, and supportive environment where pupils can rebuild confidence, develop positive relationships, and achieve both academically and personally.
The school is looking to appoint two permanent SEMH Teachers – one based in Ashington and one based in Blyth – for a September start (following a meeting & trial day)
Meetings and informal discussions with the school will take place in September, providing candidates with the opportunity to learn more about the setting and ensure it is the right fit before appointment.
You’ll be joining an inclusive and supportive school community, deeply committed to diversity, emotional wellbeing, and creating a nurturing learning environment for pupils with additional needs. The school maintains high expectations while promoting a trauma-informed approach to behaviour support and emotional development.
