Grounds Maintenance Operative

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and functionality of various outdoor spaces, including parks, gardens, sports fields, and commercial properties. Your primary duties will include mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning trees, and ensuring that flower beds are well-kept. You will also be tasked with litter picking, leaf clearance, and maintaining pathways to ensure they are safe and accessible for all users. Attention to detail is essential, as you will be expected to uphold high standards of cleanliness and presentation across all areas of maintenance.

The ideal candidate will possess a good understanding of horticulture, landscaping, and grounds care techniques. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with a valid driver's license and the ability to operate various maintenance equipment such as lawnmowers, strimmers, and blowers. You should be physically fit, as the role requires lifting, bending, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. Strong teamwork and communication skills are important, as you will often collaborate with colleagues and engage with the public.
